Rosa Dorsey born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama. Living In the same neighborhood as civil rights icon Rosa Parks, Rosa began preparing meals out of her home to help bring people together and ease racial tensions .

Rosa began teaching her seven children family recipes and passion of cooking. After moving her family to New York, Rosa continued cooking and serving meals through out her community.

By the 90's Rosa was offering a variety of different services such as Child care to low income families, Holiday catering and baked goods though out the years. Rosa's cooking was becoming so popular local educators and professionals were begging to have a taste. She began delivering pies to teachers and administrators at schools which her children and Grandchildren attended.

Grandson Dante Batten has been instrumental in developing and operating first time franchises in New York City which include national brands like IHOP, Smashburger and several midtown cafes. Dante has been recognized as a community leader with a focus on Nutrition. Dante has served as Food Service Director of some of the nation's largest School Districts.

In 2016 Dante Batten (CEO) and Rosa's Eldest Daughter Shirley Batten(VP) partnered to form Utopia Culinary Management LLC to manage and operate a diverse food service and nutrition operation. Immediately after forming the company, with help from family launched our legendary restaurant Rosa's Southern BBQ in downtown Scranton, Pennsylvania. The restaurant was a instant hit. After opening a second location, The restaurant began catering in neighboring states due to high demand.

Utopia expands operations with its first commercial contract in New York with Reality House Inc. a Veterans Home and Behavioral Health facility.
Utopia introduces new logo and vows to continue expansion with a focus on service excellence.
Utopia Currently operates food service accounts and restaurants in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C Connecticut & Texas.
